How to request your educational student license and start using the software

Student guidance

This guide will teach you how to request your educational student license and start using the software. Please note that we offer two different types of student licenses.

Educational licenses for coursework

If your university has signed a contract with One Click LCA, a license is created for their use, where a tutor manages the license. The tutor will have a license key which will be given out to the students. With this license key, you can start one new project on the university license. Each project can be licensed for a period of 1 year. It is possible to start a new project but no data transition from one project to another is possible.

Educational license for individual students

If you requested a free student license for individual use for your dissertation or final year project you can get request a student license. You will be provided with a license key and can directly link the project to the student license. Each project can be licensed for a period of 1 year.

We offer student licenses for Europe & International, as well as student licenses for North America.

1. How to get your student license

Coursework educational licenses:

You will need to register an account on the One Click LCA Platform, you can do that here. You will then be able to use a license key from your tutor to activate your project. Tutors can request a license here.

Individual student licenses:

You will need to register an account on the One Click LCA Platform. You will then be able to use a license key provided by support to activate your project. You can request a student license at this here.

2. Register and set up your first project

Follow steps 1-2 and 6 at our starter guidance.

3. License your project(s)

Coursework educational license for universities, follow the instructions here in the section for Students.
If you have requested for an individual student license, you will get a key to link your project to our student license directly.

First, create a project, then enter the license key. Clicking activate license will activate the project for 365 days.

4. Start calculating your LCA and analyze your results

Follow the guidance for EN-15978 tool, which also provides you with a reporting template. The guidance material can be found in the Customer Support Center and direct link can be found next to the tool icon:

Please note: Students using the coursework educational license are not allowed to contact support. All guidance is available in the Customer Support Center. Coursework educational license allows only the main user (tutor) to contact support.

If you are a student using the individual student license you can only contact support@oneclicklca.com for technical related issues. Regular support is not included.
