One Click LCA integrates with Climate Earth concrete data to make low-carbon building design easier and more accurate
One Click LCA, the world-leading construction life-cycle assessment and costing software, announces integration with Climate Earth, the leading provider of digital Environmental Product Declarations (EPD). The integration allows designers, builders and other stakeholders to measure, benchmark and reduce carbon using more than 20,000 detailed concrete EPDs from United States.
13 November 2019 – Helsinki, Finland / San Francisco, U.S. – One Click LCA Ltd (formerly Bionova Ltd), the developer of One Click LCA, the world’s leading building life-cycle assessment and costing software for construction and Climate Earth, Inc, the leading provider of digital EPD technology, today announced a partnership to further accelerate availability of high quality data for environmental assessments.
Climate Earth, Inc produces detailed digital EPDs for the concrete industry. This allows concrete manufacturers to document their carbon and other environmental impacts and publish the data for designers to use in their specifications and builders to use as part of their purchasing decisions. Digital EPDs are a step-change from the current practise of publishing data locked in PDF documents.
“One Click LCA is an incredibly flexible, easy to use tool for construction LCA. They have proven to be easy to work with, and their modern technology quickly incorporated our digital EPDs. It is clear that such flexibility will be key to the long-term success of One Click LCA” said Chris Erickson, CEO of Climate Earth.
“We’re very pleased to make Climate Earth’s digital EPDs available for our users. Using accurate and detailed data has always been a cornerstone for One Click LCA. This is also an important step towards integrating all the worlds construction EPDs into One Click LCA. This allows our users to choose from more than 20,000 existing ready-mix concrete EPDs, as well as to ask manufacturers to create specific new solutions for their projects”, said Panu Pasanen, CEO of One Click LCA Ltd.
Climate Earth’s digital ready-mix concrete EPDs for United States further enhance One Click LCA’s North American and global materials database coverage. The new data is available for One Click LCA North American and Global users in November 2019, and will be continuously updated.
