California sets embodied carbon limits for construction

Updated building code mandates a whole life carbon approach and sets embodied carbon limits.

California has become the first state in the United States to enact regulations limiting embodied carbon in the construction industry. The change will come into force from July 1, 2024, and marks a significant stride towards a more sustainable future.
