Upon completion of this 60 minute webinar:

  • Participants will learn the importance and impact of considering embodied carbon in concept design, schematic design and design development.
  • Participants will be able to define and understand the larger scope of embodied carbon in building products and construction.
  • Participants will be able to identify the ingredients and steps that comprise a whole building life cycle assessment(LCA) and how it guides embodied carbon reduction.
  • Participants will know how to utilize LCA in early design, when costs are the lowest and impacts are the highest, to optimize designs for carbon.
